Stephonne A Smith has been performing on the Operatic, Concert, and Musical Theatre Stages throughout the United State, Europe, Australia, and Asia. He has also made appearances on the daytime soap, As The World Turns, as well as numerous Commercials, and Voice Overs. Educated at the Manhattan School of Music, his Operatic Roles have included, Colline, Sharpless, Count Almaviva, Figaro, Dulcamara, Porgy, Leporello, and the Villans in The Tales of Hoffman. Mr. Smith has been seen on the Broadway, National, and International Musical Theatre stages in The Lion King, Scarlett Pimpernel, Smokey Joes Cafe, Showboat, and Sideshow, were he received a Drama Desk award for his portrayal of Jake.

Mr. Smith has been recipient of numerous awards including, NYC Five Town Competition, NYC 92nd Street YMCA Vocal Competition, MTNA Vocal Competition, Charlotte Opera Grand Prize winner, and the Metropolitan Opera Vocal Competition. He has also served as the Musical Director of the Motown Cafe in NYC, where he received rave reviews for his Musical Directing by the New York Times for presenting a cabaret celebrating the music of Motown. While sustaining a performing career, he is currently teaching voice at Texas Southern University, and privately in the Houston area.
